Aaron Kleinschmidt

Bio
Aaron Kleinschmidt brings a distinct and powerful combination of courtroom experience and scientific insight to his criminal defense practice at James, Reynolds, Spiegelhauer & Ask. His background provides clients with a significant advantage when facing complex legal challenges.
Before dedicating his career to criminal defense, Aaron served as a prosecutor with the Washington County Attorney’s Office. This crucial experience provided him with an insider's understanding of how law enforcement investigates cases and how prosecutors build their arguments. Aaron successfully tried numerous jury trials to verdict, handling a wide range of offenses including DWI, assault, drug charges, sexual assault, and theft. His leadership was recognized through his election as President of the Washington County Bar Association and his service as City Prosecutor for Burton. This firsthand prosecutorial knowledge is now leveraged to build robust defense strategies for his clients.
Aaron's Bachelor of Science degree in Genetics from Texas A&M University sets him apart. His rigorous academic training, which included high-level genetics and biochemistry research, gives him a sophisticated understanding of technical evidence often crucial in criminal cases. Aaron excels at dissecting complex issues related to DWI (breath/blood analysis), DNA evidence, computer crimes, and other forensic matters, allowing him to identify weaknesses in the prosecution's case that others might miss.
Aaron earned his Juris Doctorate from the prestigious University of Texas School of Law. He approaches every case with honesty, empathy, and strategic creativity, always striving for the best possible outcome. Like all attorneys at James, Reynolds, Spiegelhauer & Ask, Aaron becomes personally invested in his clients' well-being, making himself available 24/7 to answer questions and provide support. He is particularly passionate about guiding students from Texas A&M and Blinn College through challenging times, representing them zealously in both criminal matters and student conduct hearings.
Aaron's dedication extends beyond the courtroom. He is a proud husband to Sarah and father to three young sons, Ryan, Grant, and Jack. This commitment fuels his determination to succeed by helping clients overcome obstacles and secure their futures.
